Attorney Dan Sorey founded The Sorey Law Firm, P.L.L.C. with the desire to establish his own legal practice with personal, client-centered legal services that address the specific needs of accident victims and injured parties. Dan continues traveling across much of the southern United States meeting with clients and helping them to achieve adequate compensation for their personal injuries.

Educational Background

A graduate of Northeast Louisiana University (NLU), Dan received his B.B.A. in 1988 and his M.B.A. in 1996. While at NLU, Dan played football and was a member of the 1987 I-AA National Championship team. In the 10 years before pursuing his legal career, Dan worked as a Parole Agent in Jefferson Parish Louisiana and as a city Police Officer in Monroe. He graduated with his Juris Doctor degree from Baylor Law School and was subsequently admitted to practice in the state courts of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. Additionally, Dan is admitted to numerous Federal Courts including the Eastern District of Texas, the Western District of Louisiana, the District of New Mexico, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Dan also currently serves as an Associate Judge for the City of Longview, and has held that position since 2015.

Outside the Courtroom

Dan spent many years involved in youth sports, serving as a member on the Spring Hill Dixie Youth baseball board, as president of the Spring Hill High School Athletic Booster Club, and as football coach in the Spring Hill Youth Football Association. He currently serves as Vice President on the Longview Lobo Football booster club. In his spare time, he is exploring back roads on his Harley Davidson Road King.

    John Hull, Attorney

    Attorney John Hull

    John C. Hull is a graduate of Texas A&M University (B.S. 1998) and Baylor Law School (J.D. 2005). While at Baylor, John was a member of the Baylor Law Review, serving as both an Associate Editor and an Editor of the Texas Practice and Procedure Edition. He was also a member of the winning team in the Bob and Karen Wortham Mock Trial Competition. After graduating law school, John served as law clerk to the Honorable William M. Steger, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Before joining Sorey Law Firm, Mr. Hull worked for two prominent East Texas law firms where, in addition to representing many clients in large class action cases, he represented the states of Alaska, Montana and Utah in pharmaceutical litigation and thousands of clients seriously injured as a result of exposure to asbestos and silica. Mr. Hull was also actively involved in numerous personal injury trials that resulted in record-setting verdicts.

    John is licensed to practice in all Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Texas, and the Western District of Oklahoma. He is a member of the East Texas Trial Lawyers Association where he serves on the board of directors and the Honorable T. John Ward American Inn of Court. .
